Hello. I was surfing the internet, following links (as one does when one is writing a novel and participating in National Novel Writing Month, a madcap adventure that lures hopeful novelists into the oh but I digress) and I found you and I've been laughing out loud (Of course you will be famous and so will I, and I totally believe you will be before me!) and reading wonderful stuff I might steal for my novel (a character who is the maker of tea (and spouter of wisdoms and witticisms, I take it) and I thought it sad that there were so few comments.
I am still laughing about 'terby or not terby' and so I just wanted to say hello.

Warm & wordy regards from

Liz,
Victoria Coach Station: Bob looked after the coaches leaving.
A busy day when he spotted a coach pulling away without an elderly lady not having sat down.
Bob trundled towards the moving vehicle.
He heard the gentle lady ask for confirmation that this it was for Margate Harbour.
The driver affirmed loudly that the coach was for Nottingham via Market Harborough.
What an awakening when the driver woke her up and said this is Market Harborough.
All she said was "where are the ships"?

Hello Liz,
When are you sending stuff to publishers?
Just jealous of you in the woods as nature turns from summer to autumn. A magic time of year: The season of smells and mellow mustiness.
Love,

Oh, and the other thing is, it was written such a long time ago that the first point of Aries was on a different date and the halfway point would therefore also have been on a different date. Then you have to take the fact that he would've used the Julian calendar into consideration.

OK, to be pedantic and/or anal, and probably also wrong and irrelevant, the augment "y" has no hyphen, but is joined to the word following. Also, i may be wrong about this too, but i don't think "u/v" is ever used next to an m or n in Middle English because of the up and downy squiggle problem that would result.

I do, however, mourn the passing of "eke" in the "eac" sense of the word, though it seems to have just about made it into the Modern English period.

Alan Bennett and TW3 in the same breath :-)
Great to hear that you have been selected for the Dr Who plinth in Cardiff. Must be that the media agencies having latched onto you and want to do things with you during the "silly season". A full 15 + 15 minutes of fame. Or is it Torchwood that have sussed your special powers; communicating the way you do... Anyway ratae has tidied up his blog and Dick Barton is giving me a special communicator that will penetrate below Cardiff. Love ratae :-)
