That’s what Mark just said as I was trying to think of a title for this post. Mm – now I wonder if Facebook will come up with lots of ads for porn once I’ve posted this? In case you’re interested, Mark was trying to think of novel categories: he came up with crime, thriller, sci-fi and fantasy and then thought for a moment before ejaculating (fnarr, fnarr) ‘Oh, porn!’
So now you know.
Pushed out a number of impressive ‘z’s last night – didn’t even need the Valerian. I woke at 5 and said to myself, ‘if I’m still awake in half an hour I’ll have some Vale-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz’. That’s how it was. Starting to feel human again. Don’t tell me I don’t look it (ha ha).
Brill chilled day yesterday sitting in the garden and reading. I got so involved in Louise Doughty’s book (http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2010/jul/03/whatever-you-love-louise-doughty
that I was convinced Mark was having an affair and had to go talk to him to reassure myself. ‘When have I got time for an affair?’ he said.
LOL. Louise Doughty said the other night, a propos of a question of mine about Ian Rankin, that if she had to pick a genre to write in it would be crime because you can do anything with crime. I think she’s right. We discussed the bane of ‘categories’ especially in the realm of short stories, where you have a number of genres and ‘literary fiction’ covers just about everything else.
Equally chilled evening hanging out en famille and watching Casualty. Holly seems to have decided on doing graphic design next year, which I think would be excellent for her to do.
The last philosophy session this morning, followed by tennis – and then this evening there is a poetry thing which I will try to make the effort and go to. Tomorrow night there is poetry at the LGBT centre and then next week Word!
Happy Monday
