…and windy weather on youtube

It’s official.  The world really has gone Raving Mad.  After months of posting carefully-honed, well-thought-out videos on various fascinating subjects – and after seeing those videos get tens or dozens of views in a period of MONTHS, Mark yesterday posted, on a whim, a brief film of him burping.  And guess what?  It got 60 views in the first 5 minutes.

Moving swiftly on, here’s today’s political thought.  ‘There are two tragedies in life: one is not getting what you want; the other is being in coalition.’   I have totally had enough of Vincent Price, or whatever his name is – no, not Vincent Price; what is it?  Clegg.  That’s his name.  Git.  Previously the Lib Dem leaders have been vaguely plausible; somewhat likeable and fractionally sincere.  But Price – I mean, Clegg – is a git.  There’s no other word for it.  Meanwhile in the world of politics, Gategate refused to go away,  though they reckon that without hard evidence that the word ‘pleb’ was used he will keep his job.

Git.

Git seems to be the word of the day.  Did you know that ‘Gits’ is a purveyor of Indian snacks?  I bet you didn’t.  Here’s a link:

I am still not over my cold, though feeling better in myself.  Yesterday’s increasingly inaccurately-named ‘music’ evening at Yessim’s (including poetry and storytelling) went well, although I had all-but given up on it as only four of us turned out.  There was a late entry though by the guy with the mandolin, who turned up looking rather confused at nine, but gave us a few lovely songs before departing.

If you’re at all musical or poetic or fictional, come along.  It’s every Sunday at 7:

PS  Whaddayamean, we demand to see the video?

*Sigh*  Oh, all right – here it is:
