You know when you’re watching a TV series that used to be good but starts to fall off a bit? When it jumps the shark? Or maybe it starts repeating itself. No series can carry on forever and still retain its quality. Friends managed ten years and finished with dignity but The Simpsons carried on long after the shark had been jumped and I don’t want to do that. It’s been a good run but I have to acknowledge that the passion I once felt for writing this blog has diminished. Yes, I’m in the speedboat and I can see the shark waiting in the water. I think it may be time to lay this blog down and try something new.
I may come back in a few days with some retrospective posts but for now I’ll say so long and thanks for all the fish.

Sorry to hear that. I will still be here if you ever decide to return. I hope you enjoy whatever you choose to do instead.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks Pete
Funnily enough, I’ve just got back into The Simpsons and it can still make me laugh. I know what you mean about the blogging, though: I have also latterly started to find it something of a chore. Cheers, Jon
